This hybrid role is based in our Sydney, NSW office, you must live within a commutable distance.

Destination Sport Experiences, through its’ global sports travel brands Marathon Tours & Travel and Sportive Breaks cater for those who want to participate in the very best cycling and running events across the world. All three brands offer tours, travel packages, and guaranteed entry to marathons, cycling events around the world, together with VIP hospitality access to many of the top professional cycling events as well as managing travel programs for mass participation events on behalf of charities, companies and groups throughout the year. We are a proud partner of many of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and work closely with major sports events organisers across the globe. Due to an exciting year of growth we are now looking for a Product Manager to join our Sydney based team to specialise & manage our portfolio of Marathon events. Our Product Manager will manage the events from initial planning & contracting right the way through to planning the delivery of the event.

This is a varied, hands on role and on a typical day you will;

  • Plan the operational delivery of events, working alongside the International Delivery team

  • Build event itineraries taking into consideration budgets & travel logistics

  • Prepare the pre-departure information

  • Liaise with hotels, transport companies, event organisers and other external suppliers to ensure all elements of the event are confirmed & accurate

  • Negotiate rates & terms with 3rd party providers

  • Where necessary, manage tender process with suppliers

  • Manage the product and keep the website up to date

  • Ensure the product is loaded correctly on to the website for sale

  • Constantly monitor the sales position and suggest appropriate course of action depending upon the position

  • Work closely with our internal Sales and Marketing teams

  • New product development
