SafeLease helps self-storage operators protect and expand their businesses. Our core product has achieved product-market fit and is growing rapidly. With our existing customers, technology, and stellar reputation as a foundation, we see numerous adjacent opportunities where we can help operators run their businesses more efficiently and with less risk. As a Product Manager at SafeLease, you’ll manage and enhance our existing products while contributing to the development of new offerings. This is a hybrid role based in our downtown Austin, Texas office.

What You'll Do

  • Execute the strategic vision for our products, ensuring they align with SafeLease’s growth objectives and market opportunities.
  • Support the ongoing development and expansion of SafeLease's core products, including Tenant Protection and Tenant Insurance.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure our products deliver exceptional value.
  • Conduct user and market research to identify customer needs, market gaps, and emerging trends, translating these insights into actionable product concepts.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and the rest of the organization to develop detailed product requirements and operational procedures that align with business goals.
  • Help support the product development lifecycle, from prototyping to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to the refinement of internal processes and third-party collaborations to address customer and facility issues efficiently.
  • Talk to customers and see if we’ve knocked their socks off or missed the mark; review analytics and gather feedback from internal stakeholders to guide what we do next

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years in product management, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage directly with customers and translate their needs into effective product capabilities.
  • Effective at turning market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Willingness to dive into complex product challenges and find elegant, practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment, demonstrating strong accountability and a sense of urgency.
