About the Opportunity: Joining our team at Sagent, you’ll become an integral part of an innovative and geographically dispersed team working on our new cloud native mortgage servicing solution. We are seeking a Principal, Product Management with a modern product mindset and deep industry experience to drive the development of this groundbreaking platform. Your unique combination of business acumen, technical expertise, and visionary thinking will play a key role is transforming the mortgage servicing industry and delivering exceptional experiences to millions of homeowners. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with various teams within the company. Collaborating with engineering counterparts, you’ll define product release requirements and work closely with marketing communications to create an effective go-to-market strategy. Your expertise will be instrumental in conveying the product’s positioning, key benefits, and target customers both to internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day at Sagent:

As a crucial member of our Product department, we are seeking a highly experienced Principal Product Owner to manage and deliver integrations with our multi-disciplinary development team. This position will function as the Product Owner for the Dara Platform Integrations and will be responsible for developing, executing and maintaining a comprehensive strategic roadmap.

To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter, take accountability, speak up, work at a quick pace, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess superior interpersonal and communication skills; You are just as comfortable speaking with Engineers as you are in communicating with end-users or participating in sales calls. You will partner with product teams to enable the end user experience.

Your day-to-day at Sagent:

  • Direct the design, testing, and implementation of Integrations for the Dara Platform
  • Drive the execution and delivery of all integrations’ requirements, supporting the Functional Product teams in product delivery, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development and product launch.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Product Operations, Sales and other cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
  • Develop a deep understanding of Sagent’s current and future product needs, user experience and use case(s) to implement a partner integrations strategy
  • Lead product development execution including project kickoffs, daily scrums, sprint planning, maintaining product specs and backlog, and coordinating development and QA activities.
  • Superb analytical skills and ability to effectively use data to investigate and solve problems and make decisions
  • Realizes and identifies trade-offs of product decisions both technically and for the customer value.
  • Collaborates with our Customer Success team to ensure partner integrations are optimized for end-user experience and easy for our customers to implement, test and use.
  • Define, monitor and report on key success metrics
  • Deliver and maintain product partner Integration documentation

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Completion of a four-year college degree +10 years of experience in the financial or mortgage servicing industry or an advanced degree (master's or higher) in an applicable field +5 years of related experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years’ experience in data mapping and vendor integrations.
  • 5+ years proven experience in product ownership of a SaaS application within the financial or mortgage servicing industry.
  • Established track record of delivering high-quality software products and consistently meeting milestones and business objectives.
  • Solid understanding of mortgage servicing user personas, competitor solutions, and market trends.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively, create common knowledge, generate buy-in, and influence stakeholders and senior management towards recommended decisions.
  • Project management skills: ability to plan, set expectations, make and meet commitments. Provide structure, process and project management to cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
