Mama Money is a growth stage fintech startup working to help migrant workers in South Africa send money home. Since 2015 we have been providing reliable remittances, at a socially fair price, to those that need it most.
Mama HQ is in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. We are 131 people strong (and counting) from 19 countries across Africa, Asia, the UK, and Europe. In order for us to continue to grow and be impactful we want to improve our product for our customers and our agents. The Product Manager: Integrations will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of technical integration projects with our partners.
As our Product Manager: Integrations you will:
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mama Money's external integrations.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform the integration strategy.
Collaborate closely with external partners to understand their needs and requirements.
Work closely with the Tech Lead and Architect of the Product Growth team to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
Prioritise and manage the integration backlog, ensuring alignment with overall product and business goals.
Develop and maintain product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and release notes.
Monitor the performance of existing integrations and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
Act as a product evangelist, communicating the value of Mama Money's integrations to internal and external stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in integration technologies, applying best practices to enhance our integration capabilities.
About you:
A technical background/technical exposure is beneficial
Understanding and experience with Agile methodologies
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
Experience in product management, preferably with a focus on integrations or APIs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Data-driven approach to product management
In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will:
Get to know the ins and outs of our business, in particular, how the various systems and teams work together
Understand who we are, where we are coming from, and what we are trying to accomplish, taking our values into account
Get up to speed on the current and upcoming integration projects; understand the blockers and challenges and suggest innovations and changes
Work closely with the Tech Team to understand the quarterly priorities at Mama Money
Establish relationships with key external partners
