WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

The Web Product Team develops product experiences for Box, in direct partnership with our Mobile and Desktop teams, to make it easy for customers to work seamlessly and collaboratively with people inside and outside their organization. We are seeking a highly motivated, leadership-oriented Product Manager 1 to join our dynamic team and execute on the vision, roadmap, design and delivery of our world class end-user experiences - continuing our commitment to create product experiences that strongly set Box apart from competitors. Seamless collaboration is one of Box's core company pillars, and this is a unique opportunity to shape the growth of Box by implementing key user experiences across Box’s product suite

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work alongside the Group Product Manager for Web to execute on the strategy and roadmap for Box's web product experiences.

  • Translate product and functional requirements into developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria, drive prioritization of backlog for effective release and sprint planning with guidance.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and GTM teams across multiple time zones, to drive feature execution.

  • Interact with Box customers to understand their challenges and help define product directions. You may be called on to join customer support calls, sales calls, conduct user interviews, and plan out customer research.

  • Own communications in the available channels and communicate effectively with external audiences on your product area.

  • Measure results with a keen eye towards driving metrics that matter (which you will define and own).

  • Attend, engage, and sometimes drive weekly internal team meetings and external customer meetings.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Intellectually curious: you like to dig in and learn how things work, whether that’s why a technical solution is built a certain way or what the next great tech innovation will be.

  • Bias to action: You turn problems into solutions and move through roadblocks to consistently deliver value to your users. You identify and drive solutions or raise the visibility to help navigate through the product development process

  • Passion and experience building intuitive user experiences that deliver immediate value.

  • Experience collaborating on product initiatives, influencing and aligning stakeholders to execute on a defined plan, owning and driving projects, defining product requirements, and collaborating with engineering and design on product design, execution, testing, and release.

  • Comfortable in driving execution of projects: you are confident running a meeting with engineers, operations, and marketing; aligning with relevant stakeholders in all stages of the product development.

  • Experience working with design to create intuitive front-end user flows and experiences.

  • 2+ years Product Management experience at a leading consumer or enterprise software company (bonus if you have experience with delivering end-user facing features)

  • Preferred Skills: Technical, Design thinking, Problem solving, Leadership, Communication, Teamwork
