The Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join Plum in the London office and lead our newly formed Friends & Family squad. You’ll be expected to deeply understand the landscape of how two or more people can build wealth together, the regulatory challenges, and the needs of our users to ensure their money is safe while they build their wealth. This is a new scope and our research indicates that there are multiple avenues worth exploring, for example, two people saving for a life-moment together to collectively setting up one’s child for financial success. You will identify opportunities, prioritise the ones to go after and execute on them.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our existing products and experiences as well as new savings or investments products that specifically cater to family and/or communal wealth building (ex. Cohabitants etc.) You will be a crucial part of the Product team, working closely with data, engineering, design, operations and compliance teams.
In this role you will:
- Lead the F&F Squad at Plum, driving the development and implementation of new products and experiences that empower two or more people to save and/or invest together.
- Identify new risks and opportunities, launch experiments, and iterate on solutions to stay ahead of new consumer needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer behaviour and the competitive landscape to enhance our features and capabilities
- Drive the planning process and roadmap prioritisation for your team, aligning with Plum’s overall OKRs.
- Work closely with your Group PM and other PMs to define and construct a long-term strategy for fraud prevention and compliance across Plum’s products.
Ideally, you are someone who:
- Has proven experience building and managing financial products in the UK and/or Europe, particularly within a fast-growing fintech or financial institution.
- Is able to manage a team of engineers, speak their language, and communicate compliance needs in a constructive & timely way.
- Is fluent with data, you can ground your thinking in analysis, and constantly drive actionable insights from numbers.
- Can think critically and challenge the status quo, possessing the resilience to drive improvements in our anti-fraud and compliance measures.
- Is comfortable with ambiguity, a fast learner who is humble and curious, and enjoys developing yourself and those you work with.
- Has an ability to constantly learn - depth in understanding local regulations and regulatory frameworks - keeping up to date with industry trends
