About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Manager to manage the delivery and development of our financial platform, including our billings, accounting, and asset management systems.
Technology is at the heart of Splend’s growth strategy and the choices we make in technology will shape the company’s potential to scale. This is especially true of our financial platform. The company uses a blend of financial software and tools to run our operations, but as we scale, these systems are being tested to their limits. We need an incisive, experienced Product Manager who can guide key decisions in this area to optimise and transform our current financial platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in every stage of the financial platform product life cycle – whether that be problem scoping, solution design, software and system delivery, or product optimisation.
- Analyse, prioritise, and drive strategic investments our financial platform, including our subscription billing software, accounting & ERP software, fleet asset management software, or financial elements of our customer facing products (app and website).
- Task, stakeholder, and communications management for all key technology projects related to financial platform.
- Accountable for quarterly, and annual objectives, report on team progress towards key results.
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering and managing projects related to financial platforms and software, including ERPs, billings subscriptions software, collections / accounts receivable software, and payment gateways
- Strong understanding of operational financial and accounting processes, including revenue recognition, month end reporting & reconciliation, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable processes
- Strong understanding of key financial concepts such as asset depreciation, amortisation, cost of capital, and asset-level financial reporting
- You’ll be technology literate: you won’t need to read and write code, but you’ll have strong working knowledge of key technology concepts such as APIs, AWS and cloud-based infrastructure, ETL processes, BI tools, database and data model structures, front-end and back-end software layers, UX/UI design.
- Ideally, you’ll have worked in a company with a heavy reliance both on internally deployed software (i.e. in-house, custom code) and third-party cloud applications for CRM, financial, subscription, and fleet management capabilities.
