ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

For your areas of ownership, you will perform: market and customer research, promoting the right partnerships, user research, business case preparation, road mapping, requirements backlog prioritization, competitive analysis, go to market activities, Sales collaboration on key deals, and collaboration with other product managers across Wind River’s portfolio of products. You will evangelize the VxWorks platform to customers, partners and relevant industry consortia. 

ABOUT YOU

You are passionate about software development processes and tooling, and have a good understanding of platform software development, development tools, technologies and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with real-time software or device software/IoT development is highly desirable. You are motivated to deliver an outstanding software development experience for VxWorks users and providing them best in class tooling to perform their jobs efficiently. We are looking for:

  • 10+ years of Product Management in edge/device software development and deployment processes and tooling.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering world class development tools, or developer products, especially for edge software development
  • Recent experience in any of the indicated industries is a big plus point
  • Knowledge of product licensing and related technologies is a big plus point
  • Demonstrated application of business rationalization against a technical product
  • Good understanding of basic security concepts
  • Strong analytical abilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field, MBA is a plus or bachelor’s degree with suitable experience

Compensation                

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $141,000 to $185,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $166,000 to $220,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
