The Product Management team is a key driver of Vestcom’s growth, focusing on the continual improvement and creation of products and services that solve our clients’ needs. Product serves as the connective tissue between accurately identifying customer needs and delivering plausible and profitable solutions.
The Product Manager, Digital Media is a key contributor to the Product Management function at Vestcom, working closely with Sales and IT to serve as an evangelist and steward for Vestcom’s products, internally and externally. The Product Manager, Digital Media plays an integral role across all elements of the function: market research, defining user needs through user stories, technical understanding of SaaS roadmap development and system integrations. Works daily with cross-functional teams, including Innovation, Strategy, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and IT, to gather and communicate business requirements through wireframes; test ideas and enhancements; conduct client, market, and user research; and leverage product and IT tools to develop and maintain product backlogs delivered through agile sprints.
This is a product management position for the digital media/e-commerce platform at Vestcom. As a product manager, you will build a partner strategy for next-gen, in-store digital media experience solutions; and drive product value for the retailer and CPG. The focus will be on digital solutions, including e-commerce services, as applications within the broader SaaS solution provided by Vestcom.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work with internal solutions and third party partners to identify better solutions to deliver both retailer and CPG value. Define product integration requirements and work with partners on the development of joint solutions.
- Stay abreast of partner products and strategic investment areas
- Identify new areas for integrations with partner technologies by analyzing customer requirements, market trends, competitive gaps, and business impact. Champion and present opportunities to management and key stakeholders for consideration.
- Develop product requirements based on data-driven approach and inputs from stakeholders across the business (e.g. executives, other product teams etc.), integrate requirements into the product roadmap
- Work with IT and the platform product manager to interpret client needs into epics and user stories, prioritized against a backlog
- Work with marketing teams to communicate key messages and customer value for field and customer-facing collateral
- Management and presentation of product roadmaps aligned to company strategic initiatives and revenue opportunities
What You Need To Succeed
- Obsession with client feedback and data-driven product performance
- Strong product management and technical background to be able to understand what products do, how they are architected and how they can be integrated
- Experience working with emerging products and technologies
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent 7+ years experience with product management/technical experience
- The ideal candidate will have a background in digital media, CPG and/or retail industry, software engineering, or technical engineering
- Knowledge of the CPG and retail industry, as well as the in-store media experience
- An innate ability to collaborate with the product team, as well as, across partner teams including IT and Sales
- Focus and results orientated to know where to drive hard to deliver on expectations
- Comfort working within a larger ecosystem of SaaS applications
- Knowledge of agile methodology and its benefits
- Familiarity in creating code-free wireframes for initial prototyping of concepts
- Collaborate with the sales team and directly with clients as needed to identify client needs and gather client and business requirements
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Must be able to prepare and effectively present information to large and small groups, to employees, and Product leadership
- Outstanding time management, organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects at one time; self-starter
- Ability to work in a collaborative and participative, team-oriented environment, working with clients, all employees, and others in a professional manner
- Experience with leading tools (e.g. Miro, DevOps, Oracle, Figma), Google Slides, Google Sheets, SmartSheet)

The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000/year.
The hiring [base salary / wage rate] range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool. Additional Requirements
- Travel to other Vestcom locations and client sites may be required up to 20%
