At Famly, we’re looking for a Copenhagen-based Product Manager to be part of an essential product team: The Billing Crew. This crew develops a suite of essential features that are crucial for our customers to manage their business, making it a critical factor in choosing Famly.
And Famly is...? Well it all started when our co-founder Henrik’s daughter was ready to start at daycare. He couldn’t believe the amount of work being done on paper - and how distant he felt from his first child during the day. The paper ‘parent’ books they exchanged once a month just weren’t cutting it. Together with his friend, our co-founder and CEO Anders, they set about solving that.
These days, the 160 of us building Famly talk about trying to do two things for our 6,500+ customers:
Giving children the best possible start to life.
Championing the vital work that goes into making that happen.
We do it with software that brings hundreds of thousands of parents closer to their child’s day while they’re away from them. To support every aspect of this, we make financial, pedagogical, and planning tools for more than 120,000 childcare professionals, saving them hours and reducing their admin stress.
Ultimately, that gives them more time and headspace for the little ones that really matter. Does this mission strike a chord with you too? Come help us make it happen.
What you'll be doing:
The role is as Product Manager for our Billing team, responsible for managing pricing, bookings, invoicing, and financial reporting features. Central to this experience is booking children for care and generating accurate invoices based on the type and amount of care provided. Our focus is delivering useful automation and collaboration to fit the key functions that optimise profits for childcare centres, save staff time, and ensure that paying for childcare doesn’t get in the way of a strong relationship between the parents and carers.
While our billing features are highly successful in the UK, where Famly is the market leader, we are not quite there yet in our two growth markets—the US and Germany. To achieve this you will require understanding the delta across markets and prioritising and building a solid and unified user experience that is simple on the surface but flexible and powerful enough to accommodate key use cases across markets.
Your job will be to:
Own the process of discovery and specify new features/projects in the team. This includes working together with the crew’s Product Designer in conducting user research, analysing user behaviour, and shaping solutions. It also includes collaborating with engineers in assessing what’s feasible.
Breaking complex features down into actionable items for the development teams to build.
Coordinate with the relevant crews that border your domain and involve key stakeholders in the process.
Help drive adoption and retention of the system by tracking insights to identify priorities and areas for improvement.
Gather and structure key insights across key markets to inform the product strategy and which problems to tackle next, defining and updating the roadmap to keep all stakeholders up to date on the plan ahead.
Work closely together with the PM of Payments automation and your line manager and SVP of Product in defining the finance product strategy and setting ambitious goals for the team.
Work closely with key customer accounts, partners, commercial teams and market researchers on shaping, developing, and testing new solutions.
