Product Manager, AR Engine

Are you passionate about augmented reality (AR) and excited to work on powerful computer vision technologies? Join Niantic’s groundbreaking WebAR team 8th Wall, and help drive the future of web-based augmented reality experiences.

As a Product Manager, you will work closely with our engineers and designers to plan, develop and launch innovative AR products and features powered by advanced computer vision capabilities. You'll gather requirements, define product roadmaps, and lead the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft a compelling vision and strategy for 8th Wall's computer vision and WebAR platform offerings.
  • Drive effective cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, AR Research and other teams.
  • Contribute to company-wide planning for new product and feature development/deployment.
  • Partner closely with engineers to communicate priorities, objectives and the product vision.
  • Define requirements, schedules and coordinate stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
  • Track priorities, critical tasks and metrics to measure success.
  • Coordinate QA and manage the release process for WebAR engine updates.
  • Lead product launches in coordination with marketing and go-to-market teams.
  • Meet with developers/customers to gather feedback, share insights with stakeholders, and use those insights to inform the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
  • Required in-office 5 days a week.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of product management, project management or relevant technical experience.
  • Strong technical abilities to understand engineering designs, challenges and tradeoffs.
  • Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, etc.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience writing requirements, roadmaps, schedules and managing stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to successfully engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.

The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $153,900 - $171,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
