Job description
Responsible for the resolution and prevention of electrical quality issues including warranty and investigations from JD Powers and Consumer Reports. This position is within the Product Development organization focused on electrical systems and components. The Engineer will work with managers and senior management to achieve quality improvement goals. The key responsibilities include leading cross functional teams in the root cause, containment, corrective action and service action for quality and warranty issues. The Engineer is responsible for prioritizing warranty data to ensure the team is focused on the top items and will bridge communication between engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality and purchasing to ensure the appropriate expertise is engaged in the resolution process.
Skills
1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in the automotive industry or a related industry in:
3. Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills (e.g. Shainin, Red X, Kepner-Tregoe, DMAIC, SPC, etc)
4. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate team members
5. Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance
6. Advanced level of English
