Product Director, FinCrime Risk

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced product leader to own our Risk Products vertical, driving our strategy and execution in critical areas including KYC/KYB, AML, transaction monitoring, security, and fraud prevention. This role will be instrumental in shaping how Aspire manages various types of financial crime risks while growing and scaling to new geographies. The ideal candidate will be an experienced product leader who can achieve regulatory compliance with robust and user-friendly solutions. This is a fast-paced, highly-impactful and influential role for a motivated and organized individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Co-define the long term vision for Aspire’s suite of risk products with the executive team.
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for risk products over the next 3-5 years, considering regulatory requirements, market demands, and technological advancements.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for KYC/KYB, AML, transaction monitoring, security, and fraud prevention solutions.
  • Work closely with operations, legal, compliance, engineering, and other product teams to rollout and enhance risk management solutions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in relevant markets.
  • Build, hire and mentor a high-performing product team.
  • Establish and track key metrics for risk products, continuously improving them based on data-driven insights.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • 5+ years specifically in financial crime risk management (e.g., Customer Due Diligence, AML, Fraud prevention products).
  • 4+ years building and managing teams of product managers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to structure, synthesize information and present to executives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, prioritization and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Start-up founder.
  • Experience with AI applications in risk management.
  • Strategy consulting experience - at a top tier firm
  • Exposure to both Asian and Western markets and working environments
  • Alumni of a top tier university globally
