1SEO Digital Agency is a private-equity backed digital marketing company located 30 minutes north of Philadelphia.  Our “mission” is to enable high quality local service providers to make effective connections with qualified customers located within 25 miles of their office.  We are converting a legacy digital marketing agency into a B2B technology company that sells “marketing as a service” to local service providers.

Our entire team works from our office in Bristol, PA, but our clients have physical offices in one or more cities across the US or Canada and fall in one of three categories: home services, health & wellness, or professional services. .

PRODUCT DIRECTOR

Position Responsibilities:

As the Product Director, you will report directly to both the CEO and Executive Chairman and serve on the senior executive leadership team. This position will initially be an “individual contributor” role (i.e. no direct reports); however you will be expected to lead our “product committee” which will include leaders and stakeholders from multiple departments across the company.  If you perform well in this role, we will invest in new hires in the product department and you will be eligible for promotion to VP of Product. 
Your mission will be to not only lead, but also to project-manage the strategically-planned ‘productization process' of converting our legacy managed service offerings into scalable products that can be delivered to thousands of clients nationwide by focusing on the 12 market segments that we have identified. You will be responsible for, and held accountable for, all of the following product-related functions at our Company. 

Product Market Research:

Conduct primary market research and analyze secondary research to understand the unique marketing needs of each of our 12 market segments within the Local Service Provider (LSP) markets.  Interview clients, conduct A/B testing and analyze client survey results to identify the unique pain points and customer-acquisition needs of each segment. Research technology trends in the emerging marketing technology (MarTech) landscape and forecast impacts on our competitive landscape. Develop product strategies that can improve our competitive advantage. 

Product Development: develop “sticky” recurring-revenue products for each of our 12 market segment based on findings from your market research.  Develop products that can be sold via annual and multi-year contracts with associated pricing structures to optimize contribution margins and maximize recurring revenue (MRR and ARR).  Coordinate with operations and technology leaders to execute the automated delivery of these products.  Design premium products capable of executing a “price-leadership” strategy. 

Product Marketing: develop go-to-market strategies, client personas, and client journey maps in advance of each product launch including: training materials, talking points, and sales collateral for the marketing, sales, and client success teams. Hold internal product training sessions to educate employees on how new products work and how they should be positioning them with clients and prospects. 

Product Lifecycle Management: manage our entire product portfolio life cycle by recommending annual updates to client service contracts and features. Analyze multiple data sources to calculate price elasticity and optimize pricing models based on multivariable regression analysis. Optimize pricing packages for each of our 12 market segments based on “value-based pricing” strategies. Develop opinions (based on empirical data) on when to sunset legacy products or cannibalize existing products. 

Data & Analytics: develop and manage analytical frameworks for analyzing product-level performance (sales, margins, churn rates, utilization rates, etc.). Create and manage dashboards to evaluate product-performance KPIs.

Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of combined product related experience (product development, product marketing, product management, or product engineering)
5+ years of experience designing or managing digital marketing products
5+ years working with B2B SaaS, two-side  market places, matchmaking systems, or B2B2C business models
Solid understanding of recurring revenue metrics (MRR, ARR, ACV, CAC, churn analysis, LTV)
Experience with subscription-based services with annual contracts
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, data science, mathematics, or engineering
Experience leading product teams at high-growth technology companies

Preferred Experience (But not Required)
Masters Degree (MBA, Masters of Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science) 
Project Management,
Agile implementation  (Scrum,  Kanban, etc)
SQL, DBA, or other database training
Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)M&A or acquisition integrations experience
