The Role:
The Product Development and Merchandising team within PopSockets drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. We are the “product CEOs” and partner cross-functionally with almost every other team within the company to drive high satisfaction for our end user and to drive business results. We’re consistently striving to deliver a 5-star experience for every customer on every product we bring to market.
The product development coordinator position performs a broad range of administrative and logistical support duties to assist a product development and merchandising team. They create and maintain product inventories, spec sheets, and other documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating the complete product development lifecycle to ensure an efficient and effective workflow across multiple teams as we develop new products and brands which includes but is not limited to sku initiation, render requests, BOM approvals, etc.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Design, Doc Control/Ops, Marketing, and Merchandising, to track and communicate deliverables, samples, and follow-up with China counterparts
- Ensure style details are properly documented and relayed to the cross functional teams through spec creation and database
- Engage in regular communication with cross-functional teams to proactively manage issues and minimize disruptions to the business
- Create and maintain project documentation, including sku tracking, render request tracking, and BOM approvals
- Work closely with the DTC and operations team to communicate product information related to new skus and product launching
- Support tasks include but are not limited to creating and maintaining Excel files, Image/Spec databases
Requirements:
- A strong candidate for this role will be a motivated self-starter who can confidently push projects through to completion with minimal supervision
- You will be expected to jump in and start contributing quickly
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills are a must
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Powerpoint
