About the Role

With four years of consistent financial growth, Accelerate People is expanding with new Digital and non-Digital apprenticeship end-point assessments. We are therefore recruiting an exceptional Product Developer to create documentation, support materials, and assessments for our diverse range of existing and new EPAs.

You will work in a small team, and very closely with our Product Manager, utilising technology to design and deliver our products expertly and efficiently. You will strike the appropriate balance between being a dynamic and creative thinker and the compliance mindset that makes our assessments low risk in the eyes of our regulators.

Stakeholder engagement forms a key part of this role, and you will be required to deliver sessions and attend meetings with the providers, employers, and apprentices that access our outstanding assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Product development and maintenance: following the product roadmap, lead the development of all materials associated with our end-point assessments, including the assessments themselves, support materials and other documentation, ensuring that our systems and platforms reflect the latest developments.
  • Product testing: Lead the testing of our materials and documentation to ensure successful transition from design to delivery. Ensure the platforms we use to present our materials and the associated information are current and allow an excellent user experience.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Actively engage with our external stakeholders – providers, employers, and apprentices – to support their seamless and harmonious transition from learning to assessment. Deliver sessions on existing and new products and attend meetings to lend your expertise on behalf of our business.
  • Stakeholder management: Work with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to lead the production of documentation, such as sample materials and templates
  • Quality assurance: Utilise your exceptional writing and proof-reading skills, with attention to detail that is second to none, to produce ‘right first time’ products to testing quality assurance measures.
  • Assessment expertise: Understand assessment principles and standard setting (e.g., Blooms) and implement those principles in our products to lead to secure and robust assessments.
  • Technology: Enthusiastically harness technology (such as GenAI) to improve and enhance the design and delivery of our products. Advocate the use of tech platforms to improve our work.
  • Reporting: Produce regular and ad hoc reports, utilising data, that articulate the effectiveness of your role and department, and allow important strategic decisions to be made that improve our business.
  • Standardisation: Support standardisation, coordinating and hosting events that lead to improvements in our assessments, as well as assuring our business that our assessments are compliant with our Regulators’ conditions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ofqual General Conditions of Recognition.

Must have:

  • Experience of developing or delivering qualifications and / or assessments, ideally end-point assessments.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • A deep understanding of the apprenticeship education sector.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, proof reading, and quality assurance skills.
  • The ability to engage effectively with stakeholders of all types, including assessors, training providers, employers, apprentices, and regulatory bodies.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Digital sector.
  • A formal project management qualification.
  • Experience of working in apprenticeship training, e.g., college or training provider.
  • Experience of engaging with educational regulators, particularly IfATE (Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education) and the role they play in apprenticeship EPAs.
  • An understanding of quality assurance measures in further education, standardisation in particular.
  • An understanding of the latest developments in technology as they apply to product development.
