SEEK Pass is a trusted digital passport used by over 3 million people to manage and share their verified identity, credentials, and documents. We aim to integrate across the HR ecosystem to provide more value, security and convenience for individuals and organisations in employment-related processes.

Our primary use case today is helping job seekers to stand out on SEEK by pre-verifying their qualifications, licences and other credentials so that employers can shortlist them with confidence and speed. We operate as a distinct cross-functional business unit, with integrations into SEEK’s job marketplaces across Asia-Pacific.

About the role:

The Product Designer role supports our cross-functional squads with specialist design capabilities to help deliver outstanding products for SEEK and SEEK Pass’s users. You will build innovative products by applying your knowledge of interaction design, research and insights as well as prototypes and UI design.

Together with your colleagues from Product, Engineering, Operations and Commercial, you are collectively responsible for ensuring SEEK Pass’s products are beautiful, intuitive, and effortless to use. You will have a high degree of autonomy in improving the user experience for these products

Your role will also involve close collaboration with squad members, SEEK Pass product managers, SEEK Pass sub-domain leaders and the SEEK Pass LT, as well as various teams within SEEK.

Key Accountabilities

• Be responsible for design activities related to the most critical product features and experiences for our users, with remaining activities delegated to squad members.
• Develop a deep knowledge of SEEK and SEEK Pass’s strategy, product, and user needs so that you can translate these insights into the design of our products.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager, and Engineering, Operations and Commercial leaders to shape product features.
• Along with squad members, contribute to setting the Vision, Goals and Objectives for your squad.
• Build collaborative relationships with partners across the SEEK group (e.g. Product Management, and other SEEK and SEEK Pass Designers) to get things done.
• Gain a deep understanding of important data and user outcomes, and how your design choices impact them.
• Stay informed about related industry, government and competitor trends.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Belief in and passion for SEEK and SEEK Pass’s purpose.
• Conducting user research activities and reporting on findings.
• Journey mapping and interaction design.
• Ideation through wireframing and prototyping to explore problem and solution spaces.
• Comfort and confidence navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to synthesize data from many sources into coherent design solutions.

Other Skills and Experience:

• Experience with app design is highly regarded.
• Well developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in innovation and new product development.
• Familiarity with agile software engineering practices and concepts.
• Experience in online marketplaces and/or other digital businesses.
