About the role
We are looking for a designer that enjoys distilling complex problems into thoughtful, holistic, and aesthetically delightful experiences. The product designer doesn’t shy away from extensive research that helps them fully understand our customers and their motivators. We're looking for a designer who does their best work when collaborating cross-functionally to deliver a unified customer experience that brings value to our customer base. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide array of stakeholders across product, engineering, sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and support.
This role will be working with a talented product and engineering team focused on building and rolling out a new product for commercial real estate owners. This requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative and brings ideas to the table, and helps achieve quick wins as we bring this new product to market.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week collaborating with the team in-person at our headquarters located in downtown Austin, Texas.
What you'll do
- Design new product features and enhancements that align with the company’s top priorities.
- Combine careful observation, thoughtful critique, and design expertise to craft experiences that solve real problems for our customers.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, and leadership to create and deliver the highest quality user experiences.
- Perform design research with customers. Synthesize and apply the data collected to advocate for a customer-centric UX.
- Influence big decisions through a test and learn mentality.
- Contribute to, document, and maintain our growing design system.
- Clearly communicate customer research findings across the organization.
Experience
- 3+ years experience in UI/UX design, ideally with B2B experience.
- Knowledge of design methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-solving skills and design principles.
- Experience using principles of visual design and information architecture to create easy to use and intuitive user interfaces.
- Comfort giving and receiving feedback, explaining reasoning behind your work.
- Experience analyzing and synthesizing data and research into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and design solutions.
- Experience in creating, contributing to, and maintaining design systems.
- Experience working alongside product management and engineering teams to bring new features to market.
- Expertise in standard design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Figma, Miro, and Invision.
- A strong portfolio of work that shows you were directly responsible for the success of high-impact projects and initiatives that have benefited users.
- A working understanding of how marketing tools, messaging, and product interaction combine to shape and influence the overall user experience.
- Experience building mobile responsive web or native mobile applications.
- Ability to clearly communicate and influence product design strategy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and largely autonomous environment.
