As a Product Design Manager, you will be solving complex problems and turning them into simple and engaging experiences. We are looking for someone with a sense of human-centered design solutions who can collaborate and brainstorm with all kinds of people with different skills. All while keeping up with the ever-evolving product design trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design in product companies within leading positions
- 2+ years experience in leading design teams of 4-7 designers
- A strong design point-of-view and a high level of comfort with opposing opinions
- Excellent communication skills - you are able to clearly articulate your team’s design strategy and planning so it aligns with company’s objectives
- Experience conducting and facilitating useful design research, design sprints & ideation sessions and mentoring the team on these practices
- Demonstrated experience in building and shipping applications or software (mobile/web)
- You understand Design Systems and know how to educate designers on how to use it in a profound way that will constantly improve their work
- Strong problem-solving, fast-learning, people’s person, leadership skills
How is your day going to look? What you will be doing?
- Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of product designers that consistently deliver on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skillsets
- Responsible for overall team performance, resource allocation, prioritization, and building a culture of design excellence.
- Conducting product design processes to help the team take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our users
- Leading product direction and strategic thinking with the ability to develop product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact on our users and the company
- Communicate your team's product goals (both within the team and outside the team), and connect related projects across the company so that problems or joint decisions can be resolved quickly
- Contributing to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
- Giving and soliciting feedback from other designers to continually reiterate and improve
- Partnering with product managers, content designers, BI analysts, user researchers, and engineers to oversee user's experience with the product from conception until launch
