We’re looking for a Product Design Manager to foster the team of designers building the next generation of web design and development products used by the best brands in the world. You’ll own the outcomes for design projects across our core design tooling, including Webflow’s navigator, styles, code, and interaction tools, as well as yet to be released AI features. You’ll partner closely with engineering and product management to plan and execute on exciting new solutions for Webflow customers.

We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

This role will be reporting to the Director of Product Design.
As a Product Design Manager, you will:
- Review designs to ensure intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and technically sophisticated products.
- Prioritize and evangelize user research initiatives with our UXR team to uncover deep insights that inform design strategies and product decisions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, researchers, engineers, and product managers to align design visions and strategies across departments.
- Get into the weeds enough on designs to ensure principled and confident decisions, and proactively ensure key milestones are communicated and met.
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging design trends in HTML, CSS, JS, and AI to keep our products innovative and competitive.
- Advocate for design excellence, inclusivity, and accessibility across all aspects of our product development process.
- Work with design management to create and uphold cultural initiatives that keep our design team engaged, excited, and close knit.

About you
You’ll thrive here if you have:
- An extensive design portfolio showcasing expertise in leading highly technical products, with proven success in high-impact projects.
- Experience managing seasoned designers on complex projects.
- Comfort with stakeholder collaboration in a fully remote environment.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and accessibility, and optionally some Javascript, with experience translating technical capabilities into user-centered designs and/or designs into well crafted frontend code.
- Exceptional people-problem-solving skills, with a track record of improving design processes, supporting career growth in senior levels and above, and collaborating with cross-functional managers as a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design vision and strategy at all organizational levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to craft a long-term vision, while focusing on achievable but aspirational shorter term key objectives and results.
- Have a bias towards action working on complex products at a high growth, scaling company.
- Aren’t afraid of sweating the details to ensure that the products that ship continuously exceed our customer’s expectations.
