Reporting to the Lead Analytics Consultant, Experian Consumer Services is looking for a Data Analyst II focusing on user behavior reporting and working with the business stakeholders to provide performance updates, relevant insights, and deep-dive analyses. As a Data Analyst II, you will be an important member of the Data Science and Analytics Team responsible for translating requirements to data questions, writing complex SQL queries to extract the appropriate data from the data warehouse, compiling and cleansing the information, analyzing the data, providing information/insights to the business stakeholders by preparing reports/dashboards and optimizing our reporting processes. You will employ strategic data analysis to provide insight into online behaviors and identify opportunities to maximize outcomes. You will focus on product analytics and user behavior with our products, working with multiple teams, including Product, Integrated Marketing, UX, Technology, and Business Operations. You have technical expertise around data, reporting, and analytical approaches and how they can be applied to improve business decision-making and outcomes. You will be a partner with the business. You will excel in an environment where data collection, creative solutions, exploration of opportunity, and delivery of insight are expected functions of the position. This is a hands-on analytical role.

What you'll do

  • Extract the appropriate data from the data warehouse, combine the data-finding insights into online behaviors, and identify opportunities to maximize engagement with the product.
  • You will create and maintain Tableau dashboards that adapt to changing needs.
  • Evaluate and analyze comprehensive member activity. Such as on-site engagement behavior, acquisition rates, communication touch points, billing persistency, and correlation with member retention and revenue to provide relevant insight to business leaders.
  • You will conduct ongoing analyses of product projects and provide regular business analytics and insights to team members.
  • Analytical methods are used to identify and analyze trends, patterns, and relationships in the data to provide answers to product engagement quality.
  • You have used analytical tools to understand end-to-end customer behavior from membership entry to exit the site and conducted a pathing analysis to improve customer experiences, such as website and app user behavior, email engagement, conversion analysis, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Work with BI and Engineering on data validations to prioritize and resolve data issues.
  • Support dashboards, identify trends and/or issues within data sets, and make recommendations to influence decisions and investments.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement a high-quality quantitative data infrastructure, tracking and collecting relevant data to answer complex business questions and improve product performance.
  • Present analytical results and insights to partners to answer strategic questions and influence decisions.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in analytical/statistics-focused positions in an Internet environment.
  • Experience in business analytics, quantitative reasoning, and metrics reporting with the capacity to support claims with correlating data points.
  • Knowledge of relational database theory and proficiency in writing and understanding complex SQL code.
  • Analytical thinker who can provide insight into online behaviors, activities and identify opportunities to improve the online experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
