We’re looking to bring someone in to be responsible mainly for day to day operations of the gameplay team. This diverges from our hiring practices in 2022 for producers. This person will not be the Team Captain but will be responsible for delivery management.

As a Producer, Development Manager on our Gameplay team, you’ll help guide a talented cross-discipline team to streamline the development of new features and content for Palia, promote team improvements, and ensure our teams continue to deliver regular updates to players on time. As part of a small studio, being passionate about games, cultivating a growth mindset, and a fearless approach to problem-solving are a must. 

What we are looking for: 

  • You’re a master at planning the development and delivery of specific game features or content, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget
  • You enjoy working with cross-discipline teams and have experience applying the right software development process for the situation
  • You have worked with gameplay leadership teams to define upcoming feature requirements and budgets 
  • You know how to to track and report on project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • You help individuals stay on track in order to successfully hit deadlines
  • You’re able to prioritize emergent work, balancing it against long term goals
  • You partner closely with QA team members to identify and address quality issues
  • Your approach to facilitating team rituals makes everyone feel included
  • You mentor team members to increase their capabilities and draw out their best talent
  • You build strong relationships with people across disciplines and teams, and know how to involve them in ongoing projects

Nice to Have: 

  • Game Production Experience: You have 3+ years of experience leading internal game development teams as Producer, Product Manager, Development Manager, Project Manager, or equivalent roles
  • Live Service: You’ve worked on live service projects where maintaining the experience is as important as delivering new features
  • Non-Production Experience: You have proficiency in a development discipline such as Engineering, Design, or Art
  • Passion for Cozy Games: You find yourself playing either Palia or games like Palia in your spare time

Salary Information:

The Los Angeles base salary range for this full-time position is $99,572 - $129,572 for a Mid-level Producer, Development Manager. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved states. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors. Please discuss your specific salary expectations for your preferred location during our interview process.

Compensation details reflect only the base salary, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits such as 401k matching.

  • Choice of Remote (in approved states) or Hybrid office options in Los Angeles, CA or Orange County, CA unless noted above
  • Aligned to core Pacific Coast hours (10:00am - 4:00pm PT)
