Procurement Strategic Sourcing manager for IT and Marketing categories

The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing the sourcing strategies for the IT and marketing categories. The person in this position would liaison with legal, act as Procurement ambassador to the business and integrate into the business to ensure a complete alignment and deep understanding of the business goals and partner in developing sourcing strategies. The goal is to be value-added sourcing partners to the business. The position involves developing and executing strategic initiatives and negotiation strategies, advising requestors on contract terms and conditions, monitoring cost and scope of assigned contracts to assure compliance, best value and validate/improve pricing etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Sourcing:
   • Develop along with the global commodity manager and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy.
   • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, requirements, and project timelines.
   • Identify and establish relationships with preferred manufacturers, OEM resellers global and local and service providers.
   • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers IT HW and services to ensure favorable rates and terms.
2. Vendor Management:
   • Monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers.
   • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance, including quality of talent, responsiveness, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
   • Conduct regular vendor reviews and provide feedback to improve service quality and address any issues.
3. Demand Forecasting and Planning:
   • Work closely with department managers and project leads to understand short-term and long-term projects needs.
   • Align planning strategies with business objectives and project timelines.
4. Cost Management:
   • Analyze and manage the overall costs associated.
   • Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as rate negotiations, volume discounts, and process efficiencies.
   • Monitor and report on budget adherence, providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
5. Technology and Automation:
   • Stay current with technology trends and solutions.

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree  with 7+ of experience in indirect strategic sourcing with a multi-national organization with an emphasis in IT and marketing commodities.
• MBA or JD preferred
• Contract Negotiation / Vendor Mgmt. / Influencing skills required
• Experience and expertise with sourcing & contracting ERP tools (SAP and/or Oracle)

SKILLS:

• Ability to work well in a high-pace dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure task completion and deadlines are met as required
• Demonstrated skills in negotiating and formulating technology contracts, understanding cost models and various price structures and management of contractual.
• Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills required
• Excellent team facilitation and presentation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
