The Procurement Manager plays an integral role in shaping procurement strategy at StockX -- ensuring the optimization of costs and services delivered across multiple categories. The person in this position will create sourcing strategies and strategic direction for third-party spend. The Procurement Manager is also expected to own cost optimization strategies through innovative sourcing techniques and ongoing vendor management/governance.
What you will do
Sourcing/Procurement
- Serve as a procurement/sourcing subject matter expert (SME), leading the RFx and contracting process across multiple categories
- Lead sourcing decisions, negotiate commercial terms, and generate contractual agreements with global supply base for new and existing parts/services
- Participate in interviews of key internal stakeholders/business owners to define specifications and requirements
- Collaborate with internal business partners, including Legal, to negotiate with vendors
- Conduct comprehensive spend analyses in order to identify sourcing opportunities
- Thoroughly analyze supplier pricing proposals and have the ability to provide a counterproposal to the supplier that is more beneficial to StockX
- Identify existing and potential vendors for assigned projects and categories
- Conduct market research on vendors and understand market cost drivers for goods and services
- Offer alternative sourcing approaches or vendors to business partners to ensure the best-value vendor is selected
- Build and maintain sourcing category strategies across the enterprise
- Ensure contract renewals are completed on time to avoid lapses in services
- Participate in the development and documentation of procurement policies and procedures
Relationship Management
- Increase the visibility of the procurement organization across StockX to address the gaps of knowledge about procurement's value proposition, policies, and initiatives
- Ensure procurement strategies are known to all relevant parts of the business in order to maximize potential cost savings/avoidance opportunities
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners/clients
- Educate internal business partners on the importance of vendor management and holding suppliers accountable to contractual commitments
- Support internal stakeholders with vendor management as needs arise
Technology and Resource Knowledge
- Comfortable leading complex supplier negotiations
- Comfortable analyzing supplier pricing proposals
- Experience building category strategies
- Solid understanding of contractual terms; comfort reading and negotiating contracts with suppliers
- Project leadership experience -- including designing and leading projects
- Ability to quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal partners and suppliers
- Experience creating and leading complex RFx initiatives
- Comfortable interpreting and summarizing data from disparate sources
- Experience participating in supplier quarterly business reviews
- Ability to influence a diverse group of internal customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
About you
- 2-4 years' experience in a procurement/sourcing role with demonstrable increasing responsibility and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or related
- Indirect sourcing experience preferred
- CPSM designation a plus
Location
- Hybrid role with 2 days per week onsite in our Downtown Detroit office

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
