JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a Processing Supervisor to oversee both harvest and post-harvest processing functions at our facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for managing a team of leads and agents, coordinating schedules, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Processing Supervisor will manage activities across harvesting, drying, trimming, and curing processes, working closely with facility leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality output. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Coordinate schedules for harvest and processing activities; oversee staffing, training, and onboarding of new employees.
- Lead critical harvest tasks, including managing dry room conditions, dry and curing processes.
- Perform initial bulk quality control (QC) inspections of batches, report quality issues to Quality and Operations Manager, and ensure adherence to time and quality metrics.
- Record weights, measures, and product data; manage Biotrack/Cannex software adjustments, product moves, and transfers; accurately prepare and track orders for 3rd-party testing.
- Monitor team productivity and maintain a sanitary work environment across post-harvest areas (dry rooms, trimming rooms).
- Responsible for remediating cannabis product prior to 3rd part testing as needed. Maintain accurate data and run schedules.
- Ensure all processes meet compliance and quality standards; assist with preparing for regulatory audits and conducting regular facility inspections.
- Prepare and log samples for weekly testing, coordinate with third-party testing companies, and maintain accurate records.
- Responsible for addressing personnel issues, resolve conflicts, and serve as a resource for product knowledge, policies, and industry regulations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in plant biology, agricultural sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience in large-scale agricultural or cannabis facilities.
- Strong focus on detail and adherence to strict quality and safety standards.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective conflict resolution, team management, and delegation.
- Proficiency in using tracking and inventory software, database management, and Microsoft based programs.
- Knowledge of cultivation and harvesting best practices, including plant care, drying, and trimming.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to instruct, guide, and support team members in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs., and willingness to work in environments with exposure to dust and pollen.
