This is a technical role in a manufacturing engineering organization responsible for new product introduction (NPI) of Solidigm SSD products for Data Center commercial customers. The candidate would be performing process development activities on SSD products, coordinate with design team, QA, material team, high-volume manufacturing (HVM) engineers, other multidiscipline organizations, and ODMs.
- Performing design for manufacturability studies during early product design stages ensuring a product is designed for high throughput, high quality manufacturing, and optimal manufacturing cost.
- Establish and document the new manufacturing process flow, including manufacturing plan, CTF and process control requirements at each stage; perform process data analysis and TRA; ensure process development following PLC methodology and HVM transfer of new products.
- Assessing new product process flow and possibly designing or tweaking some manufacturing fixtures alongside ODM engineers and contractors.
- Support engineering builds to validate product design and manufacturing processes.
- Assessing timely manufacturing solutions risks and ensure program goals as well as quality manufacturing outcomes.
- Managing ODM engineering builds, oversee build execution, and manage build results and required corrective actions.
- BS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Megatronics or equivalent degree or experience required.
- MS is a plus
- Minimum 6 years of experience with manufacturing of electronics devices.
- Basic understanding of product architecture, product development methodology, high-volume manufacturing, , development methods, SPC and statistics, etc.
- Experienced in setting up and tracking schedules for executing multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong technical background in manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- Software skill like AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other preferred
