A Process Manager is required to work in our Zambia office to monitor plant process lines and participate in troubleshooting if required to ensure plant operations are effectively executed and production targets are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine process checks, ensure that sensors are working properly in all plant units and prepare detailed process reports.
- Conduct process tests and studies and assist in recommendations for improvement in processes based on test results.
- Assist in carrying out detailed analysis of key process trends, developments and changes in equipment performance behaviors in Dangote Cement Plant production processes.
- Assist with production conditions for new or modified installations under supervision of the Senior Manager- Process / Production.
- Assist with overseeing the proper maintenance activities to ensure operations are executed effectively.
- Liaise with Central Control Room Operators to ensure effective and efficient execution of plant operations.
- Liaise with regulators, external auditors, affiliates and outsourced service providers.
- Assign detailed responsibilities to subordinate and supervise them to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Pinpoint issues in business processes by examining process data and metrics to create process workflows and designs that adhere to group guideline and legal standards.
- Encourage teams to evaluate current procedures critically for efficacy, quality, and simplification to execute process improvements to boost operational effectiveness.
- Offer training sessions for new procedures as required.
- Motivate a team of process analysts and implementers. He/she should also be able to delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and provide feedback.
- Communicate effectively with different stakeholders, such as top management, employees, customers, and suppliers. He/she should also be able to present and explain the process vision, goals, and improvements in a clear and concise manner.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Minimum degree in Chemical Engineering/Production Management
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (Professional Engineer)
- Registered Engineer (ERB)
- Previous experience in a Cement Industry desirable
- Valid Silicosis certification
- A minimum of Ten (10) years’ progressive work experience of which five (5) years should be at Production Supervisor Level.
