Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization:

   • Analyze and improve hot preparation/ extrusion processes to achieve consistent quality and efficiency.
   • Adjust machine parameters to optimize product specifications.
   • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the extrusion process.

2. Troubleshooting:

   • Investigate and resolve process-related issues in a timely manner.
   • Develop and implement corrective actions for quality or operational challenges.

3. Quality Assurance:

   • Ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications.
   • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on extruded materials.

4. Data Analysis:

   • Monitor process performance using statistical tools.
   • Use data to recommend and implement process improvements.

5. Continuous Improvement:

   • Lead projects focused on waste reduction, productivity enhancement, and cost savings.
   • Collaborate on Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

6. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
   • Coordinate with PI team for new product trials and process adjustments.

7. Training and Documentation:

   • Train operators and technicians on new processes or procedures.
   • Maintain thorough documentation of process changes, trials, and findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial).
• 3+ years of experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment (experience in tire manufacturing is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using statistical tools and software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
