- Conduct laboratory-scale cell culture studies (shake flask through fed-batch bioreactor and harvest) to support characterization of cell banks and/or manufacturing bioprocesses
- Perform affinity chromatography and viral inactivation in support of lab-scale cell culture activities
- Perform cGLP cell banking activities for research use
- Coordinate with a broader scientific team to align on scheduling of lab activities
- Statistically analyze large data sets and draft technical reports to support commercial filings
- Present on technical topics during cross functional meetings.
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing during troubleshooting and continuous improvement opportunities
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you have the innate ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize them and execute them independently, while excelling at keeping all impacted parties well advised
- Can take on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges, learning quickly

- Understand antibody manufacturing processes

Leadership Responsibilities
- Supports and monitors team of analysts
- May participate in new hire interviews
- Supports the on-boarding process of new employees
- Participates in training of other employees.
- Performs peer review of data.
- Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field
- Relevant lab experience: cell culture, cell banking, GMP, aseptic technique.
- Previous leadership experience.
- High level of communication and organization
- Ability to be flexible while maintaining client-centric focus
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Position is full-time, the role is 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8am-5pm . Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply. Pay is between $26-32/hr and determined based on experience.
