Coinbase is looking for a privacy analyst to support our automated data mapping and privacy control monitoring. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across Legal, Engineering and Product teams to manage complex privacy requirements and projects. 

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Lead integrations with privacy enhancing technologies (PETs), internal, and external privacy platforms, including tooling configuration,  technical integrations and integrating results into privacy operations and processes
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with product and engineering teams 
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality across privacy operations 
  • Develop and maintain internal privacy policies, guidelines, and standards 
  • Communicate risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advocate for internal privacy principles and identify creative ways to embed concepts of privacy by design into operations 
  • Uphold business to privacy requirements and ensure continuous program maturity. Ensure timely and, when possible, automated collection of evidence. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Manage escalations to various levels across functional stakeholders, driving consensus and resolution in an efficient and timely manner.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): 

  • 2+ year working in privacy and 4+ years of experience overall 
  • Experience leading complex technical projects in privacy domain
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated track record of building partnerships with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented - excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Privacy experience - Understanding of privacy directives, GDPR, cookie policy, data privacy impact assessments (DPIA)/ (PIA), records of processing (ROPA) and data subject access rights(DSARs), privacy risks, controls and issue management
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, Postgres, MongoDB, Airflow, Looker, REST API’s and Snowflake or similar technologies

Nice to haves:

  • Experience developing integrations with SaaS providers
  • FinTech experience with an interest in the crypto space

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
Pay Range:
$131,325$154,500 USD
