As a Principal Software Engineer for DevOps Team, you will be accountable for design and develop the build, release, and deploy toolchain for DevOps. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between development, operations and DevSecOps teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient delivery of high-quality product releases.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for a wide range of tasks related to the development and rollout of DevOps platforms and practices using CI/CD and IaC tools like Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Chef etc.
- Individual should be able to Design, Develop, Test and Maintain DevOps systems on Cloud platforms along with cloud cost management on AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
- Architect, design, deploy, maintain and monitor infrastructure for continuous integration tools and frameworks, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, with a deep understanding of orchestration and microservices architecture.
- Vulnerability scanning and impact analysis along with implementation of remediation plans to address the related concerns.
- Sound understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) processes and derive KPIs to gain a more granular understanding of the performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Acts as a technical advisor to a suite of technology solutions, regularly interacts with relevant stakeholders and engineering leadership with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent team player and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams to achieve devops automation goals and enhance overall productivity.
Qualifications:
- BE/ME/MCA or any other degree in related field.
- 12+ years of relevant DevOps experience.
- Candidate’s primary domain of expertise should be Devops for cloud-based applications.
- Practical experience in building, designing, and maintaining cloud-based applications with AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
- Strong Hands-On experience on various DevOps concepts and tools like Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory.
- Experiential learning on Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, chef etc.
- Hands-On experience on Container & Container Orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes etc.
- Strong knowledge of Shell Scripting or any other programming languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, Java etc.
- Infrastructure management and orchestration using tools like Prometheus, Grafana etc.
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy and Security domain.
- knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and principles.
