Principal Security Engineer

Location Details: India, Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-events or offsites. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

• Lead cybersecurity incidents throughout the incident response lifecycle with a focus on mitigating risk and damage
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts for incident response capabilities across people, processes, and technology
• Collaborate with teams to develop content to improve detection capabilities in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool
• Develop and evolve security solutions to align business requirements with GoDaddy standards
• Change champion for SecDevOps, providing support to developers, a partner in architecture reviews, operations, and others on security excellent practices and tools to cultivate security expertise across the SDLC
• Function as a specialist for system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and incident response
• Assist with prioritisation prospective projects, participating in projects from kickoff through “definition of done,” while mentoring more junior team members
• Participate in Cyber Incident Response team on-call rotation that may involve non-traditional working hours

• 10+ years of information security experience
• 3+ years experience host operating systems forensic (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and networking forensics and concepts
• In-depth knowledge and experience with current cyber threats and landscape to enterprise environments
• Ability to architect and drive implementation of large-scale cross-company initiatives
• Ability to understand and apply the cyber kill chain model to events
• Experience with the following tools: Splunk, ELK, EDR Solutions, Trend Micro, Atlassian, ServiceNow, GitHub, Okta, and Microsoft Security products
• Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to team members and to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff

• Experience with incident response in cloud platforms [AWS, GCP, etc]
• Practical scripting language knowledge [Python, PowerShell, bash, etc.]
• Ability to perform memory or disk-based forensic analysis
• Incident Response specific or other relevant certifications [ex. GCFA, GCIH, GNFA, GREM, etc.]
• Knowledge of CIS or similar security frameworks
