The Principal Research Analyst supports Public Sector clients by leading research efforts to identify issues and create insights around corporate structure, hierarchy, ownership, foreign influence, and client-requested investigative objectives. Responsible for the programmatic daily operations, management, and successful deployment of analysis, services, and solutions.

Essential Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts research and analysis through the application of advanced investigative and analytical research techniques to determine solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Identifies unique and relevant patterns in business behavior through detailed analysis, monitoring, and examination of multiple streams of available data.
  • Conducts critical analysis and evaluation of complex business data, open-source data, and other records to compile comprehensive reports of findings.
  • Maintains a mutually productive working relationship with the cross functional teams within the public sector business unit and work with customer base on recommendations and improvements to the product team. Supports Public Sector Clients through coordination with the data science team and solutions engineering team on multi-disciplinary projects as required.
  • Regular direct engagement with customers and internal D&B stakeholders, manage customer requirements and expectations and ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure proper coordination, synchronization, and deconfliction with the Data Science Team and the Investigative Research Services Team.
  • Researches, identifies, and recommends changes and modifications to provision of services and data to public sector clients.

Education and Experience

  • Education Bachelor's Required
  • Years of Relevant Experience 12 to 15 years

Additional Skills and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with advanced degree/training preferred.
  • Fluent in native language(s) of strategic interest; Effectively present complex research findings in both written and verbal formats.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience with advanced knowledge, and understanding of, strategic country business environment, to include the correlation, integration, and interoperability of both public sector and private sectors.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in intelligence/counterintelligence analysis and operations, risk analysis, financial analysis, science/technology analysis, fraud analysis, and/or similar types of research and analysis disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use and application of open source, controlled, and compartmented data in research analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of data analysis and intelligence analysis, and willingness to learn new research tools, techniques, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer and information technology resources common in investigative research and analysis to include, but not limited to, commercially available analytic programs, government databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate within varying levels of ambiguity, interpret customer needs, and work across teams to solve complex challenges and deliver timely and relevant solutions.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in working with internal and external customers and partners.
  • Knowledge, familiarity, and understanding of U.S. Government offices, programs, and operations.
