To support rapid international business growth, we are hiring a Principal Product Manager located at our company headquarters in Silicon Valley who has experience managing AI semiconductor solutions for datacenter applications. As an Astera Labs Product Manager, you will lead product definition, vision, and launch products from cradle to grave. You will drive interactions with engineering teams, lead customer discussions, develop go-to-market strategies, identify new markets, and work with senior leaders on the vision and customer impact.
Based in Santa Clara, this position requires an in-person presence, offering a unique opportunity to impact our global operations directly.
Basic Qualifications
- Engineering Bachelor’s degree, preferred MBA/MS, or advanced degree
- 10-12 years’ experience working in ASIC product management, product marketing, or business development or relevant customer facing functions in semiconductor companies
- Proficient technical knowledge of PCIe/Ethernet protocol, standards, and developments
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across senior leadership teams at both Astera Labs and the Customer
- Detail oriented and customer focused, with the ability to summarize complex data and produce a compelling, yet simple narrative
- Authorized to work in the US and start immediately
Required Experience
- Must have thorough market knowledge of server, storage, cloud, and data center segment
- Proficient understanding of system level architectures in the datacenter
- Basic understanding of AI Training and Inference and associated data movement
- Direct experience with customer/partner relationship management
- Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate and execute new collaborations with multiple customers and partners across the ecosystem
- Proven track record of working closely with cloud service providers, data center OEMs/ODMs, and CPU/GPU vendors
- Partnered with industry ecosystem and standards organizations such as PCI-SIG, IEEE, etc.
- Technical Marketing/Sales/Business Development experiences in the semiconductor industry preferred
Responsibilities
- Execute on product development by working with Astera Labs cross-functional teams (program management, R&D, sales, operations, and corporate development) to ensure successful product launch and business growth
- Execute on product delivery by working with Astera Labs sales and operations teams to forecast and build product to meet customer needs
- Build close relationships with lead customers and manage cradle-to-grave product engagement and support
- Lead Go-to-market strategy and launch plan with clear market assessment, competitive analysis, and positioning of products
- Drive Marketing Activities such as tradeshows, press releases, joint papers, etc. and contribute to new and creative content generation
- Develop compelling sales material that clearly promotes product value and differentiation and work closely with sales and customers to secure new business opportunities and close design-wins.
- Contribute to market TAM/SAM analysis and use data-driven product and execution strategies to deliver revenue.
- Maximize Business Impact through continuous market assessment. Refine product, when needed, based on new learnings and as an advocated for the customer
The base salary range is $160,000 USD - $240,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
