As the Principal Product Manager for our Contractor Management Platform, you will play a pivotal role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of the platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our clients. This platform is central to our offering, empowering businesses to manage and streamline their contractor workforce efficiently. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, customer success, and legal teams to develop innovative solutions, ensure compliance, and deliver an exceptional user experience. You’ll be responsible for shaping the product roadmap, defining success metrics, and guiding the team of product managers in the continuous improvement and expansion of the platform. This is a high-impact role, focused on scaling the platform to support a growing client base and evolving market needs, while delivering measurable business outcomes.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy:

Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for the Contractor Management Platform, aligning it with company objectives and market trends.

Develop a long-term roadmap focused on innovation, user experience, scalability, and compliance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, customer success, operations, legal, and sales, to ensure alignment on product goals and deliverables.

Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to inform product development and prioritization.

Platform Enhancements:

Lead efforts to enhance platform features that streamline contractor onboarding, management, compliance, and reporting.

Identify opportunities for automation, integration with third-party tools (such as HRIS systems), and improvements to the user experience.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure that the platform remains compliant with evolving labor laws, contractor classification regulations, and industry standards across multiple jurisdictions.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure the platform supports regulatory requirements.

User-Centric Product Development:

Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that the platform meets the needs of contractors and clients alike.

Conduct market research, client interviews, and user testing to validate product ideas and features.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Use data and analytics to measure platform performance, track user engagement, and identify areas for improvement.

Define success metrics for the platform, including KPIs related to revenue, user adoption, retention, and operational efficiency.

Go-to-Market and Growth:

Partner with marketing and sales teams to define go-to-market strategies for new features and releases.

Support client acquisition and retention efforts by highlighting platform benefits and creating a compelling product narrative.

Scale and Performance Optimization:

Ensure the platform is scalable and optimized for performance as the user base grows, and identify new opportunities for expansion and integration.

Address technical debt and work with engineering to prioritize infrastructure improvements.

 

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and data-driven Principal Product Manager with a passion for building innovative solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who excels at translating complex problems into intuitive and scalable products. You thrive in ambiguity, can balance long-term strategic goals with immediate execution, and have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.

 

Key Qualifications:

Extensive Product Management Experience:

8+ years of experience in product management, with a significant portion at the senior or principal level, ideally within B2B SaaS platforms.

Demonstrated success in owning a product from ideation to launch, managing both strategic vision and tactical execution.

Strategic and Data-Driven Mindset:

Ability to think strategically about product direction while also diving deep into data and user insights to inform decisions.

Strong analytical skills, with experience using product data, metrics, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Exceptional Leadership and Collaboration:

Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and key stakeholders.

Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with engineering, sales, customer success, and legal/compliance teams to deliver value-driven outcomes.

Customer-Centric Approach:

Deep empathy for users, with a track record of championing customer needs and translating them into meaningful product enhancements.

Experience conducting user research, persona development, and testing new ideas to validate and refine product direction.

Strong Communication and Influence:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A natural ability to build relationships across departments and influence without direct authority.

Growth and Scalability Focused:

Proven track record of scaling products to meet growing market demands, optimizing for both performance and user experience.

Experience integrating products with third-party tools, driving innovation through automation, and building products that support high-volume, complex user bases.

Problem Solving and Ownership:

A problem solver who takes full ownership of challenges, finds creative solutions, and executes effectively, even in ambiguous situations.

Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for delivering meaningful results.
