About the Position
Our mission is to revolutionize application security. At Contrast Security, we offer a new approach to code security and application protection, from developers analyzing the first line of code through instrumenting a sophisticated enterprise DevSecOps lifecycle, and deploying apps at-scale.
The foundation of this is collecting data from applications across development, testing and production environments. As a Principal Product Manager you will independently drive this area of our technology stack. This is a highly visible and cross-functional role that requires a good understanding of application development environments, coding languages, and frameworks. You will work closely with our enterprise customers, field teams, and all other product teams. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of market trends and technologies, and apply this to create a strong roadmap for our collectors that can support streamlined deployment, broad coverage, as well as rapid feature development.
We are looking for a highly technical candidate, a solid mix of business and organizational skills, and the ability to operate in a matrixed cross-functional environment. This is a good opportunity for candidates with a background in software development, software engineering, DevOps, cloud/container technologies, SRE and related areas.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of software development environments, application infrastructure, languages and frameworks.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and operating models for deployment and scale-out.
- Develop a compelling product strategy that leads to streamlined/automated deployment, optimal coverage of languages/frameworks, and compelling features across our platform.
- Own the complete product lifecycle, from strategy to user stories, product requirements, and definition of the product experience
- Establish and track clear metrics and KPIs
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management/development experience.
- The ideal candidate will come with a strong background in software development and/or development operations(DevOps) background
- An expert in software development environments, and technologies
- A practitioner with hands-on experience developing, deploying, and/or testing software applications.
- Technical degree
- Extremely detail oriented and organized. You should be able to work closely with engineering to prioritize, define, and manage delivery on an ongoing basis
- An ability to use data to derive insights, measure impact and relentlessly prioritize
- Ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment
- Executive presence combined with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
- Experience with SaaS products ideally in one or more of the following areas: Application & Cloud Infrastructure/Security, APM, XDR, CI/CD technologies
- Experience in direct customer engagements
- Ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences, and executives
- Experience with Agile and Lean development practices and rapid prototyping
- Experience performing competitive and business analysis
Salary and Other Compensation
This position's standard base pay range is $190,000 - $220,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an equity package subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider several factors: geography, skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
