Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology. 

We are seeking a Principal level architect that has proven business development capabilities to help bolster our presence within the Salt Lake City and wider mountain region.  This person would work with our local team to identify opportunities, engage in pre-positioning efforts, help us win work, and contribute to the delivery of existing projects

Role accountabilities:

  • Working with the Practice Group Manager and the local Studio Manager, the successful candidate will help develop a growth strategy for the SLC market
  • Supervise staff, and contribute to the general management of the practice
  • Takes a lead role in business development, identifying and cultivating new relationships, particularly in SLC market
  • Actively participate in the identification and targeting of clients through the delivery of service excellence to deliver growth in organic revenue in the practice group
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the business plan and ensure the team understands it, and the role that they play in its achievement, through the development of the appropriate culture and the provision of context and clarity
  • Build strong relationships and create successful teams
  • Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction to improve retention and deliver organic revenue growth
  • Direct the identification of talent in the practice group in both technical capability and sales and promote career development by directing individuals who are identified, to the appropriate development programs
  • Participate in decisions on resource utilization within the practice group
  • Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the practice group’s clients and the market to identify key trends and emerging opportunities
  • Develop relationships throughout Arcadis to foster cooperation and to maximize opportunities to cross-sell within the organization

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Architecture
  • 15+ years of architecture residential experience
  • Knowledge of the high-rise and mixed-use residential
  • Professional registration in Utah
  • Knowledge of sustainable principles and LEED accreditation
