Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Government Affairs & Public Policy Manager to join our team in Taiwan. In this role, you will work closely with the Taiwan Public Affairs team to manage and execute strategies related to government affairs and public policy that are critical to the operation and growth of our company.
Position: Government Affairs & Public Policy Manager
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute strategies to engage with government stakeholders at local, national, and international levels to advance the company’s interests.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the company’s business operations and provide strategic guidance to internal leaderships.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with policymakers, government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, experts and academics, and relevant stakeholders to advocate for favorable policies and regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as legal, compliance, communications, and business operation to align government affairs efforts with business objectives.
- Prepare briefings, position papers and other materials to effectively communicate the company’s positions and priorities to external stakeholders, as well as to inform internal leaderships.
- Represent the company at meetings, hearings, and industry events to articulate policy positions and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Stay informed about emerging issues and trends in digital economy, e-commerce, retail, technology, and regulatory compliance to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of related experience in government affairs, public policy or related roles
- Strong understanding of Taiwan’s political environment and regulatory framework.
- Ability to integrate public policy with business strategy and corporate development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record of maintaining relationships with policymakers, government officials and industry stakeholders.
- Ability to represent the company effectively in various forum.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
