Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to take charge of financial modeling and reporting.
An ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who can not only collect inputs from diverse areas, but also provide critical perspectives to improve forecast accuracy.
We are looking for ambitious person who can move beyond reporting and propose solutions to company-wide issues to improve cost and quality for Coupang’s customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver frequent updates on logistics’ costs and initiatives. This comprises performing variance analyses on cost performance that are accurate and clearly explained with a crisp storyline every week.
- Closely work with various teams across Coupang to gather assumptions and provide critical perspectives on how to consume those in our financial projections. Examples include (but are not limited to) working with retail and S&OP to understand sales and volume projections, or with procurement, SDE and FC teams on initiatives that may impact logistics (e.g. packaging, inventory placement, etc).
- Do foundational work that help maintain accurate and clear finance reporting. This includes maintaining cost centers and GL mappings and reconciliations.
- Pursue process improvement opportunities for the team to do more with less and to improve forecast accuracy.
- Be able to refresh the Logistics Finance forecast models every week (from maintenance of the models, input collection, variance analysis, to reporting).
- Responsible for Cash Flow forecasting and Category P&L reporting.
- Actively participate in different planning cycles: budgeting, annual planning, weekly updates.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategy, or Consulting roles (finance department, preferably in tech/online sector; investment banks; accounting firms).
- Bachelor’s in finance, commerce, business or related fields.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience within forecasting, demand planning and/or other relevant analytical experience.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and basic accounting principles.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment preferably a Startup, FMCG or a fast-growing business of an organization.
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel.
- Analytical and data-driven thinking. The candidate shall be able to connect the dots across many datapoints.
- Mastery of Korean is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of the eCommerce industry.
- Familiar with establishing and managing KPIs.
- Proficient in SQL. Familiarity with financial systems like Ariba and SAP is a plus.
- English fluency is a strong plus.

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
