Architecture connects the dots from where we want to be, to how we’ll get there, by “connecting strategy to delivery”. As the Principal Enterprise Architect at SEEK, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our technological landscape.
Your mission? To create an enterprise architecture framework that empowers informed decisions, accelerates delivery, and unlocks tangible benefits. Here’s how you’ll do it:
- Strategic Vision: Establish and maintain an enterprise architecture framework that aligns with SEEK’s business objectives, strategy, and ambitions. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable architectural blueprints.
- Future-Proofing: Develop both current state and future state enterprise models. Dive into business operations, customer journeys, data flows, applications, and cutting-edge technologies. Your insights will drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with domain architects and other stakeholders. Together, craft architecture strategies and roadmaps that pave the way for SEEK’s future state. Your ability to bridge technical and business perspectives will be key.
- Quality Assurance: Define and operationalize architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guidelines. These guardrails ensure consistency and excellence across all technology solutions. You’re the guardian of SEEK’s architectural integrity.
- Business Impact: Support the leadership team by building compelling business cases. Advocate for key technology capabilities needed to execute our company’s strategy. Your influence will be felt at the highest levels.
- Mentorship: Share your strategic mindset and approaches with fellow architects and technology teams. Uplift their thinking, inspire innovation, and foster a culture of excellence.
- Innovation Radar: Keep a watchful eye on industry trends and emerging technologies. When relevant, incorporate these innovations into our enterprise architecture framework. You’re not just an architect; you’re a tech trendsetter.

- Alignment Enforcer: Participate in architecture management processes (like the Architecture SteerCo). Ensure that our technology solutions harmonize seamlessly with our enterprise architecture framework and principles.
- Model Curator: Capture and curate enterprise models in our Architecture Hub (powered by LeanIX). Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that our architectural knowledge base remains robust and accessible.
You’ll work closely with senior business and technical stakeholders:
Executive Leadership Team: Including the CEO, MD, and Technology leaders.
Senior Leadership Team: Functional leaders across the business.
Technology Leadership Team: Senior technology leadership members.
Chief Architect and Architecture Leadership Team: Ensuring alignment with overall architectural vision.
Principal, Solution, and Associate Architects: Collaborating on architecture initiatives.
Technology Operations and Delivery Teams: With a key focus on Engineering.

The Team
Architecture is made up of four domains: Online, Corporate, Growth & Incubation, and Practices.
- Online is responsible for the architecture strategy that enables SEEK to build and operate the SEEK product and deliver on our current and future product ambitions efficiently and effectively. As a domain it also includes support for AI and adjacent teams such as Jora and Certsy.
- Corporate is responsible for the architectural strategy that enables SEEK to operate its business efficiently and effectively. As a domain it also includes corporate platforms (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.), security, data, and infrastructure.
- Growth and Incubation utilises core and new platforms to help SEEK explore new market opportunities.
- Architecture Practices develops and maintains our architecture ways of working and operates architecture’s platforms, such as the Architecture Hub (LeanIX).
The Principal Enterprise Architect will lead Enterprise Architecture (with one to two direct reports). The team will work closely with senior business stakeholders, principal architects, solution architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that the enterprise architecture supports SEEK’s business objectives and enables the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective technology outcomes that drive velocity, productivity, and simplicity.
