Principal Engineer - .NET

You’ll join the Xplor Pay Development Team to make a real impact every day. You will help us provide a full stack payment processing and acquiring platform to integrators, partners, and merchants. Whether small and independent or large franchises, we build services that customers can rely on. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, working with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and others to help deliver and support required functionality across our payment platform, its user interfaces and APIs.

You’ll help us empower and enable engineering teams, develop innovative products, work with challenging and complex code, and develop market-leading cloud-based solutions in the Fitness and Wellbeing sector. Using .Net / .Net Core frameworks, microservice architecture, Cloud based solutions and a variety of technologies, you will be a part of a market-leading software platform that makes day-to-day operations simple, efficient, and enjoyable for organizations in the fitness and wellbeing industry. 

Some other responsibilities you'll have: 

  • Build and maintain an innovative product with cutting edge technologies, from back-end to front-end. 
  • You will be responsible for suggesting better software design which ensure more stability and easy scalability.
  • Write clean, testable, scalable, and well-documented code. 
  • Diagnose problems and defects by collecting information, finding root causes, and fixing them. 
  • Help improve and evolve our advanced architecture following best-in-industry patterns. 
  • Have a keen eye for improvement in scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. 
  • Involve and engage with other architects, senior developers and other teams and motivate and connect with others. 
  • Mentoring team members and guiding them towards raising their own software quality standards. 
  • Refactor existing code, write unit tests and review other teammates code. 
  • Estimate, plan and implement new features in collaboration with product and design. 
  • Participate in full-life cycle software development. 
  • Should have proven experience in SOLID principles, design patterns
  • Should have experience in microservices architecture
  • Worked on implementation of SaaS solutions.

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of hands-on development using Microsoft .Net technologies including C# over Microsoft SQL data repositories, .Net core 2.0 and higher. 
  • 2+ years of hands-on development using Angular 9+ or any modern frontend technology.
  • Hands-on experience with key web technologies such as HTML, CSS3, Responsive Design, REST 
  • Have a keen eye for improvement in scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. 
  • Experience applying security technologies such as TLS, SAML, OAuth. 
  • Experience with distributed, event-driven system architecture environment. 
  • Experience with Azure development is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with SCRUM activities. 
  • Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals. 
  • Professional and articulate communications skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team where you manage your own time and priorities. 
  • Must enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same – adaptability required.
