We are looking for an experienced Staff Engineer to independently manage and support our data analytics applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, MariaDB, SQL, Linux, Docker, Airflow administration, and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance. The application is built using Python Dash, and the role will involve application deployment, server administration, and ensuring the smooth operation and upgrading of the application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for data analytics applications.
- Manage server administration tasks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
- Administer and manage databases (MariaDB) to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Handle Docker container management and deployment to Kubernetes environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Terraform.
- Oversee Airflow workflows, troubleshooting scheduling or task issues.
- Monitor infrastructure and application performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve application-related issues and implement improvements.
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and security through regular monitoring and patching.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Python, particularly in web applications (preferably Python Dash).
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience in ETL and Data engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency in MariaDB administration and optimization.
- Solid understanding of Linux server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and management, using tools such as Jenkins and Terraform.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with Airflow administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
