Principal Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data strategies that support the company’s business objectives and goals, ensuring alignment with broader company strategies and adapting as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and drive revenue growth, providing in-depth analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Deliver presentations to senior leadership, clearly communicating findings, insights, and data-driven recommendations.
• Develop insightful and actionable reporting to business stakeholders.
• Empower Looker as a robust self-service BI tool to cultivate a culture of self-sufficient data access across the organization.
• Identify the measure of business metrics, own the definition and implementation, develop and maintain dashboards to track them, ensuring stakeholders have regular, up-to-date insights into business performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in the analytics field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in an ecommerce setting.
• Strong expertise in SQL and BI tools for analyzing large datasets, with experience in developing and maintaining dashboards to track business metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams to drive data-driven initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data-related issues.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
