Position : Principal, Compliance

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Product Safety Compliance Audit to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet all safety and compliance standards and regulations. You will lead a team of auditors, develop audit programs, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product safety and compliance practices.


Key Responsibilities:

Audit Programs and Execution:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive audit programs to assess product safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct on-site and remote compliance audits for product safety compliance.
  • Review and analyze audit findings, identifying non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of product safety compliance auditors.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to audit team members to ensure effective audit execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to product safety.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant Dangerous Goods/Environmental regulations and standards.
  • Interpret and communicate regulatory changes to the organization.
  • Ensure that products are supplied, and distributed in compliance with applicable regulations.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product onboarding, inbounding, quality assurance, supply chain, and legal, to address compliance issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized audit records and documentation.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product safety and compliance processes.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and preventive measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in product safety compliance auditing, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality audit outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel to conduct on-site audits as needed
