Position : Principal, Compliance
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Product Safety Compliance Audit to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet all safety and compliance standards and regulations. You will lead a team of auditors, develop audit programs, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product safety and compliance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Programs and Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive audit programs to assess product safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct on-site and remote compliance audits for product safety compliance.
- Review and analyze audit findings, identifying non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of product safety compliance auditors.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to audit team members to ensure effective audit execution.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to product safety.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with relevant Dangerous Goods/Environmental regulations and standards.
- Interpret and communicate regulatory changes to the organization.
- Ensure that products are supplied, and distributed in compliance with applicable regulations.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product onboarding, inbounding, quality assurance, supply chain, and legal, to address compliance issues and drive corrective actions.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and organized audit records and documentation.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product safety and compliance processes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and preventive measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- 10 years of experience in product safety compliance auditing, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality audit outcomes.
- Willingness to travel to conduct on-site audits as needed
