Meet the job
● Measuring and monitoring the progress of releases during deployment;
● Constructing a release calendar for each project to have a centralized view of all releases (with a consensus from client);
● Making improvements to the methodologies used for configuration management;
● Maintaining documents related to procedures on build and release;
● Identifying any project dependencies that could alter the course of release;
● Attend the Release Management weekly call with the client to discuss on issues, concerns or progress;
● Lead the Scope meeting / finalizing for release with both the client and internal Teams
● Experience in creating release artifacts like Release Notes, Impact Analysis, etc
● Ensure the release artifacts are created, reviewed and shared with client on time;
● Liaise with QA Team to get sign off wrt Quality on release scope;
● Continually work towards making improvements in the Release process / ensuring team document relevant Release procedures and communicate to team;
● Review bugs escalated by client each day against release scope;
● Follow up on impediments within team / Liaising with leads about release;
● Updating tickets with Release dates, Fix and Impact Versions;
● Responding to release management enquiries from the client.
How about You?
Key competencies & Skill sets (BE):
● Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes and Microservices;
● Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL);
● Good understanding of non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability;
● Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform;
● Good understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment;
● Key competencies & Skill sets (Release Management): Mandatory;
● Hands-on experience in end-end Release Management including;
● Defining the configuration and release strategy, schedule & quality criteria
● Enable seamless collaboration between Backbase development teams and customer teams;
● Identification of technical risks and dependencies that can delay the release and manage them;
● Tracking the progress and managing & issues issues, if any;
● Demonstrate the ‘management’ flavor by taking ownership of release cycles and give directions to stakeholders as needed (in addition to just being a coordinator);
● Having a “win-win” attitude to ensure the Backbase and client both achieve success while overcoming hurdles
