Are you passionate about providing Cloud solutions and want to work for a company that believes in Integrity, Competence, Value and Fun?
We are looking for a results-focused Principal Architect, Cloud for our Head Office branch to be based out of Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, or Toronto! In this role you will focus on strategic initiatives for Long View’s clients in the Managed Cloud and Infrastructure Services Practice. You will perform strategic business solution sales, solutioning, art-of-the-possible workshops, and envisioning sessions with our clients.
A Day in the Life:
- Work with the Executive VP of Strategy, Office of the CTO and Practice Director to develop and create a portfolio of highly differentiated practice and cross-practice solutions, specifically in the Managed Cloud and Infrastructure Services portfolio
- Research, understand and communicate industry and market direction
- Work with industry analysts to understand trends
- Support partner vendor events and sessions in alignment with the Practice Director and Vendor Management Office
- Collaborate with the Executive VP of Strategy, Office of the CTO and Practice Directors to develop integrated annual strategy and one-page plans with alignment to overall practice and branch initiatives
- Create strategies and execute on plans to achieve targets as identified in the one-page plan
- Qualify strategic business solution leads and sales opportunities with Account Managers, Client Services Managers and/or Practice Directors
- Guide and lead the strategic sales process through to closure including authoring the required documents (proposals, RFPs, RFIs) and contracts (SOWs, SORs, SOSs)
- Share and document lessons learned on how / when / where we are winning and losing opportunities so the Practice Directors can continuously improve the product portfolio for that geographic location
- Work with Marketing, Sales, Pre-Sales Architects to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with the Practice Directors and Pre-Sales Architects to support integrated marketing campaigns to generate sales and drive brand recognition
- Facilitate Envision, Art-of-the-Possible, and Digital Transformation workshops
- Represent Long View at vendor and industry events as required
- Participate and contribute to share learnings and information with the larger Long View team
What You Bring:
- 15+ years of proven experience in the industry working as a subject matter expert in Cloud and Azure
- Proficiency in outcome-based selling or previous pre-sales experience selling complex solutions
- Effective communication skills allowing you to interact with various audiences including internal stakeholders and peers
- Proficiency in workshop facilitation (Envision and Art-of-the-Possible workshops)
- Industry certifications relevant to your expert technology areas
- Familiarity with selling processes and working within the approved Long View processes
- Ability to grasp new technology concepts rapidly and assess their relevance for client solutions
