Principal Analyst (Marketing) - Uswitch

London, United Kingdom
Full-Time

Location: London (Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office)

At RVU we combine the close-knit and agile environment of a startup, with the know-how, technology and backing of a well-established company.

Our mission is to empower consumers to make confident decisions. With our unique set of brands, including Uswitch, Confused.com, Money.co.uk and Tempcover, we have the power to reach millions of consumers and the technology to deliver a world class online experience for them.

At Uswitch, our goal is to be the UK’s favourite way to choose and manage home-life essentials - from broadband and mobiles to energy and insurance. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are looking for talented individuals who share our passion for making a positive impact on people's lives. If you want to be part of a team that is transforming the way consumers navigate their household services, we would love to hear from you.

About the role:

We are determined to help our customers spend their money wisely. We are equally determined to make high quality, data driven decisions when it comes to attracting those customers to our services. We have huge reach, engaging with millions of consumers a year and a huge opportunity to understand those customers and put the right communications in front of them.

At the forefront of that effort are the analysts who work in our marketing teams, responsible for a profound understanding of the message that our customers want and need to hear. As a Principal Analyst in marketing, this role will sit across and coordinate that effort to ensure that we delight our new and existing customers and that we see a return on every pound we invest.

Being a results-driven Principal Analyst you will lead the development of rigorous actionable insights that drive marketing strategy. You will work with a variety of different metrics and models, such as brand health, econometrics, digital attribution, CRM, and LTV. Leading a small team of analysts, you will be a player-manager, both driving strategy as well as rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in.

Through skilled communication and storytelling, you will translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Partnering with marketing Team Leads, you will ensure informed decision-making across the full funnel. If you are an experienced Marketing Analyst who enjoys driving positive business outcomes and is looking for an opportunity to make a real impact, we want to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for marketing analytics, working closely with the CMO to build a robust understanding of the impact of marketing activity on business metrics
  • Lead marketing analytics and reporting for Uswitch, developing and optimising a future-proofed foundation that drives decisions across paid, earned and owned channels both within each channel and combined across channels
  • Be a driving force in the development of a single customer view, fuelling a central audience strategy that informs next best action models across all digital channels
  • Develop a robust LTV model, working with marketing leads to optimise investment decisions and activity based on longer-term value
  • Present and explain complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders at various levels

What we’re looking for:

  • Proficiency in all areas of marketing analytics such as brand health, digital attribution, customer segmentation and value, CRM and LTV. Knowledge of econometrics is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to extract and clearly articulate the most meaningful information from data to a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent SQL and data manipulation / wrangling skills; particularly in reference to Google BigQuery and DBT
  • Strong base knowledge of statistical modelling techniques, e.g.Significance Testing, Multivariate Modelling, MMM, p-value, A/B testing
  • Experience managing and developing other analysts

You don’t need to tick off everything on this list - so don’t let that hold you back from applying. We want to make sure you’re learning plenty during your time with us!

Our commitment to you:

At RVU, we are dedicated to developing valuable, inclusive, and user-friendly products and services that deliver positive outcomes for all of our customers. To achieve this it’s essential that our teams reflect the diverse range of people in our community. We believe in being the change we wish to see in the world, by embracing our differences and holding ourselves accountable to being open and inclusive teammates and wider community members.
