Voodoo is creating a new studio with a very exciting and ambitious mission: release the next $1B Match 3 game, pioneering the next generation in this category. We aim to elevate quality and innovation in casual, redefine industry standards, and deliver fun to a broad audience. You will be joining this studio as Technical director.

Role

We are seeking a Principal 3D Artist to lead our team in creating the next $1B casual game hit. This opportunity involves defining and building the visual foundation of a new Match-3 studio from the ground up, covering creative, technical, operational, and strategic directions. You will have the chance to shape the artistic direction and establish the 3D art pipeline. Join us and let your creativity reach millions of players worldwide.

As a Principal 3D Artist, you will be next to the Art Director in shaping the core 3D visuals of the game. Collaborating daily with a multidisciplinary team of passionate and talented professionals, you will lead the creation of high-quality 3D artwork that defines the game's aesthetic and enhances the player experience. Your role goes beyond asset development, you'll contribute to strong decisions to create pipelines, oversee the artistic implementation from high poly to final asset, and refine the game's visuals based on stakeholders feedback. With your vision and leadership, we'll captivate millions of players worldwide with our casual  games.

  • Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and materials for mobile project.
  • Expertise in industry-standard tools such as 3ds Max, Blender and Z-Brush.
  • Define and establish art standards and systems, ensuring consistency across all creative work.
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director, and other teams to enhance project quality.
  • Stay involved in hands-on asset creation, providing leadership when necessary.
  • Work effectively with other departments to make strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the implementation of 3D assets into Unity and apply optimization techniques.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into the art direction.

Profile

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a 3D artist or any other relevant experience in the gaming industry (strong focus on mobile gaming). 
  • Ability to work in a team with good leadership skills and delegate work accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills with team members of different departments.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Aligning the 3D art team's goals with the studio vision.
  • Passion for casual games and extensive knowledge of different game genres across all platforms.
  • Knowledge of the technical constraints relating to Unity engine and level editors.
  • Proactive attitude and strong work ethic to inspire others.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
