The Role

We’re looking for a Pricing Manager to join our Commercial team! Reporting to the Senior Director - Commercial, this role will lead efforts to optimize pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. This is a truly collaborative and cross-functional role, working with Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver data-driven pricing models, implement price adjustments, and perform both market and cost analysis.

As a true analyst, you'll use tools such as SQL, demand curve modeling, and price elasticity analysis to ensure strategic alignment with business goals and contribute to consistent revenue growth. You'll be a subject matter expert, analysing sales data and identifying which initiatives will maximize revenue, optimize profit margins, and improve customer retention.

Please note: This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement data-driven pricing strategies across all sales channels, utilizing tools such as SQL and price elasticity models to determine optimal price points.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, and consumer behavior, making strategic recommendations based on these insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to prepare weekly/monthly business performance reports, including analysis of topline sales, promotions, and regional pricing.
  • Test and refine pricing strategies using historical data, simulations, and price elasticity analysis to evaluate revenue impact.
  • Implement price changes due to localization, vendor adjustments, or competitor dynamics, ensuring profitability targets are met.
  • Lead cross-functional Revenue Growth workshops to explore new pricing tests and sitewide conversion opportunities.
  • Provide ad-hoc pricing analysis and reporting to Commercial and Senior Management, driving actionable insights from complex data sets.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years commercial experience in data analysis related to pricing, planning or business strategy
  • Experience in Pricing, Data Analytics, or Revenue Management, with hands-on proficiency in SQL and experience pulling data from BigQuery
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to analyze large datasets from various sources to generate actionable insights
  • Strong data-oriented mindset, capable of telling stories through data and providing actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Sheets and Google Data Studio for report generation and analysis
  • Experience in Retail or eCommerce pricing is desirable, especially involving data-driven decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional pricing projects
  • Analytical problem solver with a track record of offering strategic recommendations based on pricing and performance data

We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. We pay all employees relative to the San Francisco City market, regardless of their location. In pursuit of pay equity and fairness, the starting annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $115k - $130k. The final offer may be determined by a number of non discriminatory factors, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. All employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as stock-based compensation, which are awarded to employees annually, subject to board discretion.
