We are hiring a Pricing Director to take our pricing and packaging approach to the next level and drive significant upside.
Your role will involve partnering with a mix of the Executive leader(s) of our verticals and their Sales leaders and sales teams create pricing and packaging offers and then help them to execute flawlessly on your recommendations. In addition, you will be working in close collaboration with members of Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, M&A, Finance, Marketing, and Business Improvement teams to deliver outcomes.
This is a role that requires strategic thinking, commercial acumen, problem solving skills, analytical skills, stakeholder management experience, transformational change management skills and an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
Your role will involve all aspects of pricing & packaging so as to create, refine and deliver best in class pricing recommendations including:
- Price setting
- Price optimisation including impact of competitive position
- Packaging and proposition design for cross-sell within and across our verticals, in particular where the contracting approach, pricing basis and pricing metrics may vary between products being sold in the same markets
- M&A integration and pricing synergy capture
- Defining & delivering the scope and nature of deal desk capabilities for our larger opportunities. This may include visiting customers with our sales teams to support negotiations.
- Supporting our transition from excel based pricing tools to a SAAS based CPQ.
- Designing & deliver pricing training and enablement
- Governance, target setting and monitoring
- People management
- Experience in Pricing strategy and execution together with proposition & packaging strategy expertise, ideally in a software context
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills and problem-solving ability
- Experience of partnering with and influencing Executive Leadership to drive business acceleration
- Strong analytical ability, interest in drawing insights from data. Enjoys analysis and a data-led approach to pricing
- Strategy or Management consulting experience from a top tier strategy consulting firm is a plus (in particular to drive the change management agenda)
- Experience of working with Private Equity backed businesses is a further plus
- Connector of dots and a collaborator who can work across all teams and functions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
